BBL Methods

BBL, or Brazilian Butt Lift, is a cosmetic surgery aimed at enhancing the shape and volume of the buttocks. The procedure involves fat transfer, where fat is extracted from other areas of the body through Vaser liposuction and injected into the buttocks. This dual approach contours the waist and hips while augmenting the buttocks, resulting in a more youthful and balanced body profile.

BBL Methods

Achieving the perfect buttock shape often requires addressing multiple body areas. Erdem Hospital offers two main BBL methods:

1. Fat Injection: This method uses fat harvested via Vaser liposuction, allowing for a more natural and long-lasting enhancement. Fat containing stem cells is injected, and a corset is recommended for three weeks post-surgery.

2. Buttock Prosthesis (Silicone): For patients needing more volume, prosthetic implants can be used. Though recovery is longer, combining implants with fat transfer offers enhanced results.

Before BBL Operation

To ensure a smooth procedure, patients must follow specific guidelines:
– Stop smoking 24 hours prior
– Cease alcohol consumption one week before
– Discontinue blood thinners and inform your doctor
– Share any chronic conditions with your doctor
– Avoid caffeine 24 hours before surgery
– Remove nail polish
– Follow dietary instructions provided by the doctor

After BBL Operation

Proper post-operative care ensures long-lasting results:
– Sleep face down for 15 days
– Avoid sitting directly on your buttocks
– Wear a corset for six weeks
– Massage the operated area to promote skin tightening
– Resume light activities after 15 days and swimming after one month
– Avoid smoking and alcohol post-surgery

BBL Process

BBL surgery involves general anesthesia and takes approximately 3-4 hours. Patients stay in Istanbul for six days, with a social recovery period of about two weeks. Complete healing and final results are typically visible within three to six months.
