Prostate Cancer Treatment with HIFU
Prostate cancer treatment with HIFU is performed by giving the person a light dose of anesthesia. By entering the rectum with a probe, high-power ultrasound waves are sent to the cancerous area of the prostate. With their absorption, there is an increase in temperature of 85-100 degrees and only cancerous cells are destroyed. In this way, targeted treatment is carried out by preserving the surrounding healthy prostate tissue.
