The process begins when the patient who decides to have surgery passes through a doctor's examination. During the examination, the breast tissue of the person and the position of the nipple are checked. According to the degree of sagging, information is given about the surgical intervention. It is determined what kind of breast structure the patient wants to have after the surgery. For this, a simulation is made by the doctor to make a clear decision. After mammography and ultrasound examinations, a day plan is made for breast lift surgery.

Before Breast Lift;

• Alcohol and cigarette use should be stopped 3 weeks before the operation.
• Blood thinners should be avoided 1 week before the operation.
• Expectations from the surgery, possible problems and the method of application of the surgery should be discussed in detail with the aesthetic surgeon.
• Patients under the age of 40 should have a breast ultrasound, and patients over the age of 40 should have an additional mammogram.
• Since the risk of bleeding during the menstrual period will increase, surgery should be planned after this period has passed.
• Urine and blood tests should be kept ready on the morning of the surgery.
• Eating and drinking should be stopped at least 6 hours before the surgery.
• Surgery should be postponed in cases of upper respiratory infection.

The postoperative period is mostly comfortable. In the first days, you may feel slight pain during movement or when you cough, but it will decrease with painkillers every day. Even if you limit arm movements, your pain will decrease, and you will have a positive effect on the healing process. There is a bra-like wrap on the breasts. A thin tube (drain) is placed on the sides of the breast to remove the blood and fluids that may accumulate inside. Drains are taken up to the 4th day. Resting in a semi-sitting position for 3 days after surgery will speed up your recovery. On the 5th day, the dressing is opened, and the dressing is done. Dissolving sutures are often used and do not need to be removed. If there are non-dissolving stitches, they are removed after the 10th day. The stitched parts should not be exposed to the sun for 6 months. It is necessary to use a special bra (sports bra) for 8 weeks after the operation.

• You can start consuming liquid food 3-4 hours after the surgery and you can walk around in your room.
• Even if mild pain is felt on the first night, it can be easily controlled with simple painkillers.
• In the hospital process, serum, painkillers, and antibiotic treatment can be applied for support purposes.
• After the control, which is mostly done the next day, the drains are removed, and the patient is discharged.
• In some cases, the drains can be kept for 1-2 more days when deemed necessary.
• When you return home, you should eat plenty of liquid food, use the recommended antibiotics and painkillers, and use your special bra without ever removing it.
• In the first days, staying away from activities where you will use your arms frequently, and avoiding movements where you feel pain will increase your recovery speed.
• You will be able to take a bath 3-4 days after the operation. You can return to your normal life within a week.
• The bruising, which may occur in the early period, disappears spontaneously after one week and the swelling after 2-3 weeks.
• It will take about 3 months for the swelling due to surgical intervention to completely disappear and the breasts to take their final shape.
